Overview

Brinks Training Academy South Africa is a part of Brinks Security and Brinks South Africa PTY LTD, which is a division of the larger Brinks Global Services group. Brinks is a leading global provider in cash and valuables management for imports, exports, local air transport, and/or road movements. Our customers include financial institutions, retailers, government agencies, mints, jewellers, and other commercial operations. Our global network of operations in 52 countries serves customers in more than 100 countries. 

Brinks Global Services has armoured security divisions worldwide that are responsible for transporting valuables by road and ensuring safe delivery. The Academy is established for the purpose of providing continuous training and development in the field of assets in transit with armoured vehicle deployment. The academy is based in South Africa for the sole reason of benefiting from one of the highest crime rates in the world, especially CIT vehicle attacks. We learn from the attackers—their intelligence, planning skills, and execution methods—using this information to prepare in training, to prevent or defend against such attacks. 

Based on our direct exposure to CIT crime in SA, our relationship with intelligence network groups such as Police CIT JOC, CITASA, various Police CIT Intelligence groups nationally, and our stakeholders ITA & PFTC, along with external trainers keeping our instructors up to standard, such as continuous training with ex-Police Special Task Force trainers like Mark Human from ACT. In this way, we are able to present the highest level of training in firearm handling and security deployment.
